When I did this with my class we were learning about the letter 'H'. So we based our whole day around 'A trip to Honolulu'. Children were given passports and boarding passes and were able to board our aircraft (classroom was transformed into Aeroplane). We watched a safety demonstration and served some food and drinks on board. Once we arrived at our destination, we completed some letter H activities and had a hula-hoop competition!
